your boss, for that matter) about how you can help each
other be more successful?

I wish my manager would just...
- Keep me informed of
major issues, changes, initiatives occurring throughout
the organization.
- Ask/listen to my ideas
on how to improve our group.
- Allow me to do my job
without micro-managing the work & getting too involved.
- Trust his employees.
He involves multiple people on the same project without
telling them. Energies are scattered & there's almost
guaranteed miscommunication & people running into each
other.
- Acknowledge &
appreciate my ideas.
- Check out all the
facts before she tells us how to do something so she
doesn't have to change it again a couple of weeks later.
- Keep me informed on
what is going on in the organization. We are very lucky
to him a great director whom really cares about us.
- Be here and be able
either give me the information I need or give me the
path to gain the information I need.
- Continue as she is.
She is supportive, hardworking, understanding,
respectful, a team player, and encourages us to grow.
She should not get excited about the schedule, it will
work out.
- Give positive feedback
and not just the negative. It would also be helpful when
things are really hectic, if the manager could try to
keep employees on an even keel. When the manager is
flustered, it trickles down to all of the employees.

I wish my employees would
just...
- Increase being open
and honest and not couch words and concerns (to make
them politically correct) so that issues bothering
him/her will truly be aired and confronted.
- Perform to the
expectations of the position. Show initiative when they
have free time. Not require continued supervision to
complete tasks and projects.
- Organize and
prioritize tasks more effectively and follow-through
with assignments without being prompted.
- Apply their minds
(creative, intellect, reasoning abilities etc.) to their
duties and responsibilities.
- Pay more attention to
detail.
- Keep me informed of
project/issue status on an ongoing basis.
- Come to me directly
with concerns and comments.
- Would take a more
positive attitude toward working for a "company" goal
instead of a "departmental" or "individual" goal. I wish
my employees would focus on supporting each other as
well as supporting our internal customers. Lastly, I
wish some of my employees would pay more attention to
the job they are being paid for and less attention to
personal business and socializing.
- Everyone that works
directly for/with me meets or exceeds my expectations as
a manager. If anything, I probably ask of them more than
they are required/prepared to do; knowing they will rise
to the challenge.
